A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H are eight friends who live in an eight-storey building. The ground floor is numbered one and the topmost floor is numbered eight. Each of them is applying for the different exam, viz ISRO, CAT, BARC, IIT, SBI, IBPS, RRB and SSC, but not necessarily in the same order. There is only one floor between A and the floor on which person who is applying for SSC lives. The person who applies in SSC does not live on floor number 1. D lives just below B. The one who applies in ISRO lives on an even-numbered floor and just above the floor on which person who applies in SBI lives. The person who applies in IBPS lives on an even-numbered floor but not on the 8th floor. Neither D nor H lives on the 1st floor. Only one person lives between the one who applies in RRB and D. A lives on an odd-numbered floor and E lives just above A. B lives on the fourth floor.
Only two persons live between the person who applies in IBPS and A. F lives just below the one who applies in SBI. D is applying neither for SBI nor for SSC. The person who applies in BARC does not live on an odd-numbered floor. G is not applying for CAT. There are two floors between the floor on which H lives and the floor on which E lives. Only two persons live between the one who is applying in IIT and the one in BARC.
