• Lok Sabha Clears Maternity Benefits (Amendment) Bill, 2016 To Raise Maternity Leave to 26 Weeks .


• Former Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk was re-elected as the president of the European Council for the second time. He won the 27 votes out of 28 EU’s governments .


• The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran successfully test-fired a domestically produced ballistic missile Hormuz-2 from a navy vessel .


• Prof Ronald Drever was well known for developing the world’s first successful gravitational wave detectors Laser Interferometer Gravitational wave Observatory (LIGO) passed away .


• The IORA (Indian Ocean Rim Association) Leaders’ Summit was recently concluded in Jakarta (Indonesia).


• National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has installed India’s largest floating Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Plant at Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Plant (RGCCPP) at Kayamkulam in Kerala .


• B P Kanungo was appointed as deputy governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for three years. He will take charge on or after April 3, 2017. He will replace R Gandhi.


• National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) officially announced the name of its upcoming mission to explore the Jupiter mysterious moon. The mission to explore the habitability of Jupiter’s icy moon Europa will be called as Europa Clipper. The mission is being planned for launch in the 2020.


• Chris Bertish, a South African surfer and a sailor became the first person in the world to cross the Atlantic Ocean on a stand-up paddleboard after completing an epic 4,050-mile voyage alone at sea.


• In the latest FIFA ranking for the month of March Indian Football team dropped two places and is now ranked at 132nd spot as compared to 130 in February FIFA ranking.


• India's first air-conditioned rail ambulance was unveiled in Mumbai .


• The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has awarded ₹1 crore to the Indian blind cricket team that won the Twenty20 World Cup last month by beating arch-rivals Pakistan in the title clash in Bengaluru.


• For the first time in India, 4 states (Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand) have decided to conduct a synchronised elephant census.
