• Nation pays homage to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his 120th birth anniversary on 23 July 2017.


 • The Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) Committee under the chairmanship of Shri N.K. Singh, former Revenue and Expenditure Secretary and former Member of Parliament presented its Report to the Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley in New Delhi.



• Goa will become the first state in India and across the globe to opt for electronic transmission of postal ballot to service voters in the upcoming elections.
The voters can download the ballot, fill it and send it via email.


• The Indian postal department released a special stamp cover featuring Olympic medalists PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik, and gymnast Dipa Karmakar, in Agartala .
The special cover is titled "Golden girls of India - Pride of Nation".


• The Union Government has constituted a Committee to frame uniform rules for the states to avoid delay in proper implementation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 across the country.
The Committee will be headed by the Secretary from Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD).
The committee has to submit its report in 3 months.


• Former India opener and the current mentor of Kings XI Punjab, Virender Sehwag has been named as the Brand Ambassador of the franchise.


• Andhra Pradesh government have announced a compensation of 5 lakh rupees for the families of those who lost lives in the Hirakhand Express accident and belonging to the state.


• Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti stated 100% Foreign Direct Investment in food processing sector is being actively considered by the Union Government.


• Vodafone India signed an MoU (memorandum of understanding) with the Mamta Banerjee-led West Bengal government to invest Rs 3,000 crore for capacity augmentation and new business initiatives over the next three years.


• Utkarsh Micro Finance and Suryoday Microfinance have commenced banking journey Monday, making it double bonanza for the country's unbanked population. Before this, Capital Small Finance Bank and Equitas Small Finance Bank have begun journey .



• Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) new deputy governor Viral Acharya took charge on Monday for a three-year term, in charge of monetary policy department.


• The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) announced that it won the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Social Responsibility in the aviation transport sector for the year 2016.


• Renowned Urdu poet Jaswant Rai Sharma, known to the world by his pen name Naqsh Lyallpuri, passed away .
