Answer.11. (c)
LCM of 27, 30, 33 = 2970
Since 27 – 7 = 20 , 30 – 10 = 20, 33 – 13 = 20
The required number should be (2970x – 11)
where x is any positive integer. We have to find the minimum value of x such that
(2970x – 20) is divisible by 27.
From the given choices, (c) satisfies the condition

Answer.12. (c)
Correct average = [482 x 3420 + (3483-3573)]/482
= 3420 – 0.19 = 3419.82

Answer.13. (e)
Amrinder’s 1 day’s work = (1/4) – [(1/8) +(1/10)]
= (1/4) – (9/40) = 1/40
Harshit’s wages : Vikas’s wages : Amrinder’s wages = (1/8):(1/10):(1/40) = 5 : 4 : 1
:.Hence, Vikas’s share = 4x(6400/10) = 4 x 640 = Rs 2560

Answer.14 (d)
Let`p’,’r’ and ‘t’ be the principal, rate per cent and time period respectively,
then
[{pt(r + 2)}/100]- ptr/100
pt = 5400
And
[{pt(r+2)}/100] – (ptr/100) = 108
pr= 9000
With the help of above equations, the value of p can’t be determined.

Answer.15.(a)
Let the sum be Rs. x. Then,
C.I. = [ x*(1+ (4/100)^2 – x]
= ((676/625)*x – x) = (51/625)*x

S.I. = (x*4*2)/100) = (2*x)/25

therefore,
ATQ-
(51x/625) – (2x/25) = 1

x = 625.

Answer.16.(c)
ATQ,
2(25 + 18) x h = 2(25 x 18)

h = (450/33)m = (150/11) m.
Hence,
Volume = 25 x 18 x (150/11)m^3 = 6136.37 m^3.

Answer.17.(c)
Let Initially, the vessel contains 8 litres of liquid.
and ‘x’ litres of this liquid be replaced with water.

Quantity of water in new mixture = (3 – (3x/8) + x) litres
Quantity of Honey in new mixture = 5 – (5x/8) litres
therefore,
(3 – (3x/8) + x) = (5 – 5x/8)
5x + 24 = 40 – 5x
10x = 16
hence, x = 8/5
So, part of the mixture replaced = (8/5) x (1/8) = 1/5

Answer.18.(c)
In two throws of a dice, total possible sample n(S) = (6 x 6) = 36.
Let E = event of getting a sum ={(1,2),(2,1),(3,3),(2,4),(4,2),(3,6),(6,3),(4,5),(5,4),(6,6)}.

P(E) = [n(E)/n(S)]
hence, probability P(E) = 10/36 = 5/18

Answer.19.(e)
Required difference = 3860×(115/[(529)^(1/2)] – 968 × (7/11)
= 772 – 616 = 156

Answer.20.(b)
Let C.P. be Rs. x
or,1800-x = 2(x- 900)
or,3x = 3600
:.x = 1200
hence, C.P.= Rs.1200,
gain required = 25%
? S.P.= Rs. ((125/100)× 1200)= Rs. 1500
